Changes to Disability Hiring Rules for Federal Contractors by the Department of Labor

The Department of Labor (DOL) is altering regulations for federal contractors concerning affirmative action for disabled workers under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Effective Sept. 21, federal contractors will stop asking job applicants and employees about their disability status and will eliminate a 7% disability representation goal.
